Choosing the right soil and ensuring regular but not excessive irrigation are essential, as the plant has a deep root system and requires good drainage. Although oregano is generally drought-tolerant, overwatering and waterlogging can negatively affect its development.<\/p><p>The cultivation of oregano is particularly exciting to me because of its essential oils, which are important for the food and pharmaceutical industries. These oils possess strong antimicrobial and antioxidant properties and are also used in animal health. In livestock production, for example, they help improve meat shelf-life, as their antibacterial components inhibit microbial growth and extend storage time. Oregano essential oils are also sometimes used as natural alternatives to antibiotics, supporting animal health in a more sustainable way, especially in poultry farming.<\/p><p>Overall, oregano cultivation requires careful management of environmental conditions and appropriate growing practices.
