Phone consultation
One question, one call, one answer. Sometimes you don't need someone alongside you for a whole season — you just need someone to tell you what to do with the field, now, before the sprayer goes out. Half an hour on the phone, a straight answer to a straight question, and the essentials in writing afterwards.
I don't sell plant protection products — and I don't take commission
It matters even in half an hour: what I recommend on the phone, I recommend because it makes sense on your field — not because it is what I have in stock, and not because someone cuts me in on the sales.
When it is worth calling
- An odd symptom in the crop, and you have to decide by tomorrow — you need someone to tell you what it is and what can still be applied against it.
- You are not sure that what you have planned is lawful. Authorisation, dose, pre-harvest interval, organic certification — one wrong application can cost you a season.
- You grow a minor crop, and there is nobody to turn to, because there is no Hungarian literature on it either.
- You want a second opinion on a recommendation you have already been given — whether from your own agronomist or from your dealer.
- You are considering a regenerative step — a cover crop, reduced disturbance, nutrient management — and you want to know what your soil and your rotation can carry.
- You are thinking about converting to organic, and you are stuck on one specific question, not on the whole technology.
When a phone call is not enough
- If I need to see the symptom to say anything definite — then a field walk is needed, and I will say so during the call.
- If it is not one question but the whole season — that is what season-long advisory work is for.
- If you need a document that holds up with the authorities — an expert opinion, a prescription, an emergency authorisation — that is a separate job.
How it works
- You book a call. You write a few sentences about what the question is and when you are available. If you have a photo of the symptom, send it — it helps a lot.
- I call you at the agreed time. You don't have to wait around for me to get to you.
- Half an hour, all of it on your question. If it turns out that I need to know more before I can responsibly say anything, I'll tell you that too — I don't guess.
- Afterwards you get the essentials in writing. What I recommend, in what order, by when — so you have something to work from when you are standing at the machine.
What it costs
A phone consultation is HUF 20,000 per half hour. That covers the call and the written summary sent afterwards. If it turns out from the conversation that you need someone alongside you for the whole season, I quote for that separately — season-long advisory work starts from HUF 10,000 per hectare per year.
The first step
Book a call — your phone number and two sentences about the question are enough. I will write back with a time, and then I will call. If your question is not one to answer on the phone, I will tell you that up front, before you pay for anything.
